TDK Lambda EMS 600-8-2-D Power Supply

The TDK Lambda EMS 600-8-2-D Power Supply has U8 outputs that are "ORed" to provide a PWM signal in 50 KHz. This will be utilized as a clock for the power MOSFET controller IC (U1), spotted on the A200 half-bridge inverter board. With the active interior change, the results of U1 on pins 6 and 11 exchange to offer an acceptable balance transformer unit. They also guarantee that only one transistor is turned on at the same time. This model comes with the XLD4429, an industry standard MOSFET driver, that has been selected to drive the A200 Full Bridge Inverter, due to its high peak top current ability and high speed. The output of the PWM during pins 13 and 16 are exchanging, then fed into the IXLD4429 MOSFET drivers. The IXLD4429 drives the pulse transformer(s), providing 180 degrees out of phase that is needed to keep the diagonally inverse transistors conducting at the same time.

The EMS 600-8-2-D is not difficult to maintain; a regularly scheduled maintenance of once a year is suggested for this EMS power supply. As a minimum, maintenance should consist of a careful cleaning of the interior of the unit and a visual review of the fans and parts on the printed circuit boards.

In this instrument, the zero set for both voltage and current front board analog meters will be spotted on the board meters and is accessible on the front panel. Zero adjustments should be performed with the power removed. For power supplies with analog meters, this alignment should be performed before proceeding to the next step.
